Guitar and Songwriting Lessons

Wanna learn to play guitar?Wanna take your strumming to the next level--playing the little parts in between the vocals that make the cool players sound so, well, cool?Wanna play lead guitar in a rock or country band?Wanna learn how to write rock or country songs, or make the ones you've written hit harder, work better, and break more hearts?I can help!I accept adult students (20s or older) of all skill levels. Acoustic or electric.Sessions run an hour and cost $50. Weekly is great, but I know adults have lives, so I'm flexible. You can play and/or write the songs in your head...really!Don't worry if you're not in the Twin Cities--I give lessons on Zoom, too.*Hit me up on the form below, and let's get you down your road!* I don't recommend Zoom lessons for complete beginners. But if you've gotten to the level where you can jam with your friends, or play whole songs along with the records, then we can probably do it online. Of course, if songwriting is your main focus, then Zoom will always work perfectly fine!
What's a Mary Cutrufello?

Mary Cutrufello has been a Texas honky-tonk heroine, a fiery Midwestern roots-rocker, and a powerhouse acoustic performer in her almost 35 years in the music business. Connecticut-raised and Yale-educated, she's performed on The Tonight Show and Austin City Limits (twice), and toured in all 50 states and several European countries. Hailed by USA Today as "a fierce guitarist with a blistered-throat voice," Cutrufello's music is a captivating, heartland-proud musical stew at once timeless and immediate. And as anyone who’s seen her tear-it-up live shows can attest, her guitar skills put her in a class with the best of the Lone Star, North Star—or any other—State.
